Liu Wen & Xiao Wen

Since I'm still working on my final, and couple of times I need to remind myself that I'm only on a short break before I continue working, I'm going to make this a fast one. Okay, so why do I love them? THEY GOT MONOLIDS! Correct that, they got the MOST PERFECT SETS of MONOLIDS eyes I've ever seen. I might mentioned it yesterday (at my twitter, so if you haven't follow me yet, why don't you now? :p) that I also adore Shu Pei's eyes, but I'm not really that much into her as much as I'm into Liu Wen & Xiao Wen because Shu Pei got a slightly bigger eyes (although she's also a monolid) than these two girls. Sun Fei Fei is also a monolid, and she is beautiful as well, but I'm not really into her either though I have to admit that I got the same type of eyes as hers.

Anyway, a friend of mine once said that she really adore Chinese's eyes, especially the monolids, because it's so unique and at that time, being a grumpy monolid, I just... well... responded that it's really hard to become a monolids, especially when you are being photographed. I remember the time when people are making fun of my small eyes whenever I smile or laugh, just because my eyes turns into a set of lines. But then, I see these two girls and I realized that monolids are indeed beautiful :) Gotta love the monolids from now on! It is the beauty of Asian.

I didn't really mean to show such a gloomy expression, but lately, I've been pulling an all-nighter. Deadline(s) are such a crazy thing to dealt with. Finals are just around the corner and with all procrastinations I did, I found myself in so much trouble finishing it all up. Yea so... just wish me luck. That's all I need. It is and it still will be a crazy week to deal with until February the 3rd. Oh God, I just can't wait for this semester to be over. And umm... aside from saying that I managed to find yet another treasure inside my messy wardrobe, I really got none to say. Unless you really want to hear me ranting endlessly about my final project(s).

Oh wait, I do have something else to say. Okay, I have such a messy wardrobe & I found so many stuffs that I bought and yet rarely worn. So, I'm thinking of having a little early spring sale to all those outfits that I've never worn before. Breaking The Habit

New year it is! Okay first, the hair. Yes, I cut it but it's not for new year's sake. I've had my hair cut since last December and I just never get that perfect chance to show you this whole new look I've adopted for almost a month now. Ah well... most of the people that has known me for life are kinda shocked. They always knew me as a girl who is absolutely not into short hair. True story. I've never cut my hair this short ever since junior high and guess who's finally willing to cut her hair? It's me. No pressure, no regret, not even a damn complain. I'm simply... well... breaking the habit.

And talking about breaking the habit, I still got the habit of wearing tank top and shorts but here's one... I never was into blazer and never use a single blazer in my daily activity before, how to say, it's just too formal and kinda feels like wearing a tux.... in other words, simply uncomfortable. But I guess I've changed my mind and all thanks to Cloth Inc for this wonderful blazer. You know that I'm such a sucker for comfort and this blazer is definitely changing my perception on blazer for daily wear. I've worn this piece to so many occasions; brunch, church, & coffee time. Who knew right? Maybe I really am breaking the habit in 2012.

Alright. I've once mentioned it on my November post about me going to have a little bit of photoshoot session with Julian of Journal J and now this is it! I present you Cloth Inc's first premium collection and also their first ever lookbook. So what's Cloth Inc? Well.. first, you read it as Clothing. It's a brand new label that is making its way to your list of must-check-out-shop, especially if you are a creature of comforts! Event // Brightspot Market

I'm back with another post and now it's coming from Brightspot Market, but again no outfit post. Haha, sorry I guess I'm just not in the mood of being in front of the camera right at this moment. I kinda prefer being behind the camera lately. So anyway, who doesn't know Brightspot Market with their "A Curated Market of All Things Cool" tagline ? This is the event that I presumed most of the teens, both male and female are waiting for, here in Jakarta. And why did I say that? Let's see.. judging from the crowd, ever since the first Brightspot ever held... yeap, this cool market has been growing, popularity-wise, crowd-wise and booth-wise.

I went there with Jul at the last day of the market. Gotta say I rendezvoused with a lot of my friends there, from my church friend, my blog friend, my seniors from both high school & uni... Rendezvous spot it is. Aside from that, well I do get two pieces of Nikicio and J got what she's been wanting for lately, a Nine-12's blouse. There were simply so many cute booths and cute stuffs which I'd like to buy, but it's either they got no size, or they're out of stock. Bummer.

So! Here I am! With another post in the busiest month I've ever lived through in 2011. Yes and I survived working at the Jakarta Fashion Week. I read a few comment that gives me a heads up of how hard working in fashion week will be and, guys, I truly appreciate it! Thank you but I really do enjoy working at the Fashion Week. I've never told you in the previous post exactly in what division I'm working at. Now... I'm working as a Social Media Intern at the PR Division. So hard work? Well.. at some points, yeah it's hard. I do have to stalled and worked more hours especially when there are late night shows. My work acquired me to watch almost all the shows and do some live tweets and updates about it via online media. Out of 51 shows, I've watched 25 out of it. I friggin enjoyed it and hell, I LOVE IT! I can't thank FeminaGroup enough for this wonderful opportunity!

Above are just a few pictures I managed to snap. It's some pictures from Mazda Young Vibrant Designer (Imelda Kartini & KLE`) & Dewi Fashion Knights (Auguste Soesastro &Tex Saverio), also the last one is actually from Berlin Fashion Designers' show (Moon Berlin). There are more but I guess this is it for now.

They're my childhood heroine of course, before the birth of Pokemon, ah those cute little monsters... I guess, what makes me remember Jupiter a lot is just because of the pleated pantskirt. Yes, I said pantskirt :) looks like a skirt but actually it's a pant! Bought this from Julian's current online shop. I miss October's post and it seems like a zillion year since the last time I have the time to even take a shot of myself. Well... I guess that's life for me. Anyway, have you ever heard the term Jack of all trade, master of none? If you have, then it's what I feel lately. But if you haven't, it is a term that describe a person that has so many competent skills yet never necessarily outstanding enough in any particular one. Yes, it's what has been happening to me lately. It's a long story and I'm not here to spammed my own post with such a ranting. It was all October for me.

So here, I'm sorry for the lack of photos. I've been having some problem with my camera lately and yeah well.. there it goes. What I'm wearing, got these two amazing pieces from Auburn & Ginger. It's kinda like a remedy for my down-time. I love the top with all those skeletons standing in line, somehow it just reminds me of Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas and the top is a bliss I have to say. I'm so into sheer and oversize tank top. Isn't it just perfect for a day at the beach, or in my case, a day here, in Jakarta. I paired this with bowler hat & converse. Sorry if I don't published a full body shot. My face is just tooo tired to even smile at the camera and I guess, that'll not be a good pictures eh, if I just insist to put on my tired-sleepy-eyebagish-face.

What can I say? Thank you so much A&G! Okay, now I'll cheers to November. It'll be the busiest month I'll ever had this year, I guess. I'm interning at Jakarta Fashion Week, I'll be facing 5 projects that need to be finished for my mid term exams and I also have a bit of personal projects with my dear little fellow, Julian Tanoto.

I know the color blocking trend has been there for quite a while now, but as a true neutralist and B&Wist it's kinda hard for me to embrace the brightly-colored outfits almost all the time. Not that I said I'm struggling to accept it, I do accept the trend and quite enjoy it as well but it's kinda... how to say it.. oh well, let's just say that it wasn't something that I go crazy head over heels with. But as time flies, I've started to like it more and more. Lately I've been reading on a lot street style posts that are piling up on my google reader and found a lot of bold and daring color blocking that I wouldn't even sure how in the world that person can pull it off. But I got to say that it's amazing enough to awed me. So, as my love towards colors is growing bits by bits, here I found a few pictures that really inspired me. A bit of color & still a bit of neutral color, I think that is how I like. Not too extreme, not too plain at the same time.

And these two, it definitely is my favorite amongst all that I found on the internet. Pure genius. Neon Orange and Cobalt Blue. Orange isn't really my color but this is seriously.. AWE-SOME! I love how Hanneli worked out the Neon top with a white shorts (again, not too bold, not too plain) and though the second picture is an exception (for it combines two bright colors), I never really thought Cobalt Blue works out well with Neon Orange. There is only one word for this combination : "W-O-W". I can't get enough of it! I guess now I'd like to start filling my wardrobe with a lot of colored stuffs. I got enough greys and b&ws already.

Just My Luck

I'm quite lost at what to write at the moment though, I have share a little some thing from my life on my previous post and so now I'm left with none. I have nothing to write about this outfit either.... but okay, let's just have a little heart to heart session. Lately, I've been having a little, well.. not a little but much problem about make up. Ha! There I say it. I'm not really the kind of girl who befriended myself with equipments such as eyeshadows, mascaras, yeah, stuffs like that. I'm such a tomboy and I used-to not care about these things. I don't know what's getting into me but I've been interested in being a little girly lately and basically yeah, I'm stuck with make ups, with that I have to say the center problem lays in my eyes. I got monolids (sucks!), small and hooded eyes. If only you know how hard it is to try to make my eyes works. You wanna know the truth? It took me luck to get a shot just like above when my eyes are not just a small strip in my face. Oh God, if only someone could help me with this monolids, asian hooded eyes. *sigh

Not a fashion post

Hey there :) I don't know how long it has been ever since the last time I opened my blogger account, I don't really keep track on what's going on in the blogosphere any longer. Not exactly the kind of girl that you could call as "blogger", huh? Yeah, anyway, today I tried to make some time to take a visit into the world that I have (seems) long forgotten and truth? I kinda get embarrassed of myself, of how I've been leaving my blog in a Missing-In-Action status for weeks. I feel guilty every time I remember that there are followers, waiting for my next post and while 40% of the reason of why I wrote this post is because I terribly miss writing a post, 60% is the guilt of neglecting the blog and readers that makes me write this post. I feel like I really have to share a little something, anything, even though it's not really a fashion related thing but then, what I could give you is just a little peek into my little uncomplicated life.

Well, you see me here, as an ordinary student (and soon to be sophomore) in my university. I'm devoting my time organizing and participating in events happening in university and one of those events are called the "Orientation Days" for the soon-to-be-freshmen of my beloved uni. Above are just a little sneak peek of pictures of me with my alma mater jacket with my fellow Student Committee's Staffs, we are the SA a.k.a Student Activity who coordinates various kind of clubs in university.

And since I got the courtesy of having the position as Head of Publication & Documentation for the Orientation Days, above are just a couple of shots I managed to get in the middle of all the activities being held. For now, enjoy :) Until the next post, I'm gonna miss you guys!

To start off, I'm not quite the kind of blogger that post something straight after I get the whole set of pictures from that day. Honestly, I'm the kind that often delay a post. So pardon me for that. This is an outfit that I took last week at my coffee break with my buddy, Sherrina (you can see her post here). We went for a coffee break (instead of lunch break) and spent like 3 to 4 hours just getting comfortable in one of the comfiest coffee shop. And I guess hallelujah for me, that in between all my gloomy wardrobe (which consist of 85% of black, white and grey outfits) I finally decided to add some color, which is this suppa comfy Cotton Ink shorts :) Well... now I'm kinda addicted to a bit of color.

I guess this will be a start of a busy week for me, again. Got projects and portfolios to be done with. Well, I hope I'll see you soon guys!

Well... It's been a lil bit gloomy lately so I'm not really changing the 'color' of my blog, I'm just adjusting my blog to the weather. Since I've been sick for the last couple of days, this is the best that I got to offer you at the moment. I worn this last week, at the first day of my compact semester and often, I'm not really into dressing up when it comes to college. I just feel... lazy. Moreover, I got a 7.30 class. All the more reason not to dress up. I mean, come on, I can't hardly wake up at that kinda hour, more or less dressing up. Some of my friends does once complained about me looking so plain in real life while looking all dressy etc in the blog.. well, I've stated my reason here. Now you know. PS. I designed that bag I'm using at the moment, it's actually one of the product from my typography final project. Yeah, I'm feeling like a proud momma using a self-design bag ;p

Here's what I'm about show you at the moment; it's one bits of me which I've never really showed before, at least through online media such as blog. This is a few outtakes of my "just-for-fun" shoots at my university's rooftop. It's a bit cloudy at that time, but it didn't really stop me from literally jumping here and there. Dude, I'm a boyish girl and I really should come clean to you all. I'm not as feminine as how I look in most of my photos. Anyway, man, I love the rooftop. The open space is just.... satisfying? Ha. Thanks to my buddy, Sherrina, for all these amazing shots ;)

Finally. A Day Off!

This is seriously the day I've been waiting for! I've finished my finals! I've finished semester two. I've passed my first year as a uni's student. YEAY! I never thought I made it through, considering I've quite a rough starting. What a relieved, now I can happily blog again and though I'll start my compact semester right away tomorrow, at least I still get a couple of day off. With that, I hope I could post more than 1 post per month time. Teehee ♥

So here, this is one of the shoots that I do a couple of weeks ago. If you do follow my twitter, you'd knew that I do a shoots weeks ago for my photography project of Low Key & High Key photography. Blogging now live from Starbucks, ha, well... indeed I am since the connection in my home is kinda sucks so I have to anyway. This is actually a set of picture from last week, like the usual me, all oversized and denim shorts. It was so hot I couldn't bare it. I wish to walk around the city wearing only my crochet tank if possible, but it wasn't, so I have to wear an outerwear. Shorts, crochet tank and sunnies feels like the perfect outfit to attend Coachella :p

again, if that's possible.

Though this post is far from what the title suggest, I do feel like it's the perfect title for my weekend-less May. Finished from my mid term a week ago, but it seems like the torture will never end cos then my lecturer feels that it's the right time for us to start on our final project, which by the way fall in June and I was like... ooo...kay...

And speaking of that, I'm featured in I Like My Style Magazine issue #5 Spring 2011. Big HURRAY for me, since it's my first (international?) press publication. I still haven't had the scanned copy of the magazine since they don't sell it here. If anyone happened to have it can you please kindly send me? I'll love you for the rest of my life, I swear.

Questions that have been arising lately :

I guess, I'm gonna answer those two questions now.

But before that, I'd like to introduce you to my college attire, which consist of oversized, denim and running shoes. So I'm not that all-the-time-dressy kinda girl, mind you. Anyway, I'm having a photo-hunt session with my class last week. Here's the good thing about Art & Design that I've found so far : PHOTOGRAPHY class. Well... anyway, this is a shot taken by William Tjhia, my classmate. Superb shots. Me likey. I look A-okay, even when the truth is I'm all sweaty.

quick trip

First, this is way tooo casual to be called as an outfit post nevertheless this is the outfit that I wore on my last day in Singapore. Some of you maybe following my twitter and would probably knew that I went to Singapore for a medical trip and not for a getaway or shopping (I did a little shopping though, you definitely can't miss that chance right?). That's why I didn't pack much and didn't friggin care about how I look, as long as it's comfy, it's fine. PS. I didn't wear any make up too.

Second, as much as I love to have someone photographing my outfit shots, it's quite troublesome as well which made me prefer to go back to timer and tripod. Not even one member in my family run a skillful photographic skill, quite upsetting I know. Like all my outfit shots in SG, most of it.. well.. didn't turn quite good :( too blur, not focus, bad frame, wrong angle, oh God... that's why I always envy those bloggers who got an amazing bf/sister that can be slash private photographer as well.

I'm kinda getting the feeling that this blog keep on going with only one post per month, which is... I don't know good or bad. Good since I'm actually can maintain this blog even if it's only once/month, bad since I'm afraid my tight schedule will eventually make me neglect my duty as a blogger. So let's just crossed our finger, don't ever let that happen. Not now, not later, not soon.

Anyway, the polkadot piece that I'm wearing above, oh well, I don't really know what kind of clothing it is. It can be used as an oversized cardigan, can be used as a kimono top, can be used as a dress. Multifunctional and versatile, I must say.

Well... currently I'm on a really shoooort semester break. I'm going to start a new semester ASAP, which can be also read as next week (Gawd, bless me). And I'm definitely overjoy that I can spend most of my time slacking and reading again. I've read 2 books last week, and this week I'm reading "Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen. This is going to be the 2nd time I'm reading this, but well.. I spent most of my allowance on clothing last month, so I just have to deal with another old book of mine. Let's just save up for a new book next month ;)

Zara Dress, June+Julia Wedges

When they said that new year is all about starting over, yes I guess it definitely is. 29 days has passed and this is the first time ever that I've a chance to breathe for a moment. A lot has happened, and January has been a good starting kick for another 11 months ahead. Officially inaugurated as the student committee year 2010/2011 as a member of student activity, officially an advanced foundation student in ballet, and.. ugh, well.. meeting someone I've never got the chance to meet in almost 2 years are some of the goods that I appreciated, the goods that make this month :) and oh, speaking of goods, so does this June+Julia wedges... It's been a bliss, I can dance around with these wedges on and no blisters.

Anyway, this is just a little something I made for my design & material final. I'm assigned to made a paper-toys and well, I don't know if you can see it, but 60s is my main theme. Yes, I'm way too fascinated with the fashion in 60s. So, what do you think?

If I have to state my obsession on a certain type of clothing, cropped top will definitely be on the list. Especially if it's a loose cropped top. So, it's definitely clear when I spotted this Nikicio's cropped top with a really reasonable price (sometime I do find one which is ridiculously overpriced) at the Goods Dept, I was seriously overjoy. Yet, the only problem I have with wearing this piece is how to wear it without showing my belly off. Thanks God for high waisted short. Oh God, sometimes I wish I live in a place where I can wear this piece to stroll around peacefully without some stranger looking at you at a really strange way.

Thinking of which, it's going to be 2011 soon. Not so much to wish for.

I just wish to keep my teenage dream alive :)

Finally. Truth is, I almost forgot how it feels to pose in front of the camera. You can definitely tell from how stagnant I am, not even moving the slightest bit from my position. Well, eventually, I almost forgot how to smile either. Most of my pictures turned out like I'm so lacking of apathy inside of me, until the last few frames before I decided to call it a day that I eventually produce a little smile. Don't you see that I look drop dead serious with this kinda outfit (minus the fact that I'm wearing a shorts) and expression (minus the smile)?

Anyway, I'm thinking about opening a blog shop ASAP. Anyone excited?

I guess, I don't have the right to be called as a fashion blogger lately. If you followed my twitter, you would have known how I've been so busy lately. But thankfully, I've just finished my midterm exams and so is my ballet exam. I do promise to make it up to all of you soon enough with a new outfit post, but I'm sorry to say that I'm down with sickness at the moment. I'm having a severe fever after I finished my midterm, which is totally suck, considering I've a RARE 2 day-holiday, and I pretty much blew it up with my sickness. I can't even wake up from my bed :(

Anyway, the pictures above are just a little documentation on the things that've been keeping me sane throughout the midterms weeks. So I have to say a BIIIIG thanks to:

1. Starbucks Signature/Classic Hot Chocolate, Caramel Macchiato and Peppermint Mocha who accompanied me in the process of making my Computer Graphic midterm project. I was stuck for HOURS at Starbucks just to get it done.

2. 711 Hot Chocolate with LOOOOOTS of rum syrup which definitely help me cope with my anxiety level while doing my drawing midterm project.

3. Famous Amos Cookies which has turned me into such a cookie monster throughout the week.
